When you use CodCadence, we collect information that you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, company name, and account credentials. We also collect information about your usage of our services, including code repository connections, task board data, meeting notes, and workflow metrics. Additionally, we automatically collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, and interaction data with our platform.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes processing your requests, managing your account, analyzing usage patterns to enhance functionality, and communicating with you about updates, security alerts, and support matters. We also use aggregated data to develop new features and optimize our platform performance. Your data helps us personalize your experience and provide relevant insights about your development workflow.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, regular security audits, access controls, and monitoring systems. Our infrastructure is designed to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information. We maintain backup systems to ensure data availability and business continuity.

Third-Party Integrations

CodCadence integrates with third-party services including GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD platforms. When you connect these services, we access only the data necessary to provide our functionality, such as repository information, pull request status, and deployment data. We do not store your credentials for these services; instead, we use secure OAuth tokens that you can revoke at any time. Each integration operates under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review those policies.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform, such as cloud hosting providers and analytics services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Client and Team Data

When you use CodCadence's client-facing features, you control what information is shared with your clients. We provide tools to customize visibility and ensure that sensitive development details remain private while clients can view relevant project status. Team administrators have control over user permissions and data access within their workspace. We do not access or use your proprietary code, business logic, or confidential project information for any purpose other than providing our services to you.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal or regulatory compliance. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting our support team. Backup copies may persist in our systems for up to 30 additional days.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You can export your data in standard formats, modify your communication preferences, and control which integrations have access to your information. You may also object to certain data processing activities or request that we restrict how we use your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@codcadence.com.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how you use our platform. Essential cookies are necessary for the platform to function, while analytics cookies help us understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through our cookie banner and your browser settings. For more details, please see our Cookie Policy.

AI Features and Data Processing

Our optional AI summary features process your task descriptions, meeting notes, and workflow data to generate insights and summaries. This processing happens in real-time and is designed to enhance your productivity. AI-processed data is not used to train third-party models or shared outside your organization. You can opt out of AI features at any time through your account settings without affecting core platform functionality.
